The 71st Venice Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday, and three stars well known in China will be judges at the event.

Actress Joan Chen, famous for her lead role in "The Last Emperor" in 1987 has been appointed for the second time.
Hong Kong director Ann Hui, best known for her movie "The Golden Era", will join the jury for the Orizzonti section, open to all "custom format" works.
And Vivian Qu, producer of this year's Golden Bear winner "Black Coal, Thin Ice", will join the panel to pick a winner for the Lion of the Future, an award for debut films.
There will also be a recognized Chinese face competing in this year's festival, making a world premiere, director Wang Xiaoshuai will be debuting "Red Amnesia."
20 films compete in The Venice Film Festival, and it runs until September 6th when this year's winners are announced.
