Police in northwest China's Gansu Province announce that they have arrested a serial killer who is alleged to have raped and killed 11 women and girls more than 14 years ago.

The 52-year-old suspect, surnamed Gao, has admitted his crimes between 1988 and 2002 in the city of Baiyin in Gansu and the city of Baotou in the neighboring Inner Mongolia.
