Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Dahabi on Wednesday submitted his resignation to King Abdullah II of Jordan, Amman-based Ammon News Agency reported.

Dahabi was named as prime minister in November 2007, chairing a cabinet of 27 ministers. Prior to being named as a prime minister, he was the chief commissioner of Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.

Dahabi was the transport minister in the government of former Prime Minister Ali Abu El Ragheb whose government was sworn in on July 2003.
