Hundreds of protesters Saturday gathered before the French embassy in Tunisia's capital Tunis, demanding the recall of newly appointed French Ambassador to Tunisia Boris Boillon.
The French diplomat who presented his credentials four days ago, refused to answer the question of a Tunisian journalist on the French Foreign Affairs Ministry's handling of the Tunisian protests, saying the question was "stupid."
The episode was shown on Tunisian television channels, sparking criticism and outrage.
