Philippine government security forces have captured two suspected extremists linked to Al-Qaeda in the restive southern Philippines, police said Saturday.
The suspects, Rajack Campo and Abdurahman Abdurahim, were arrested on Friday at around 5:30 p.m. at the public market in Malangas township in Zamboanga Sibugay, said regional police commander Chief Superintendent Elpidio de Asis.
De Asis said the two involved in the abduction of a nurse last year in the region.
