The 22nd China-U.S. Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT) will be held in southwest China's city of Chengdu from Nov. 20 to 21, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Liu Weimin said Monday.

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan will co-chair the meeting with U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson and Trade Representative Ron Kirk, Liu said at a regular daily news briefing.

Established in 1983, the JCCT is a platform for China and the United States to promote trade relations and address issues of mutual concern.

The 21st JCCT was held in Washington D.C. on Dec. 14-15, 2010.
