May 3-7, 2010: At the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Kim visited China for five days in 2010.

At their talks in Beijing, the Chinese president put forward five proposals for strengthening bilateral ties.

Kim and Hu also discussed their views on international affairs, including the situation in Northeast Asia and the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.
