Aug. 26-30, 2010: At the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Kim visited China for five days in August 2010, his second trip to the country that year, making stops to the northeastern cities of Jilin, Changchun and Harbin.

President Hu met with Kim in Changchun on Aug. 27, and the two leaders discussed three proposals on further strengthening relations between the Chinese Communist Party and Korea's Workers' Party as well as between the two countries.

The two leaders also discussed the situation on the Korean Peninsula as well as international and regional issues of common concern.
