Italian Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Mario Monti will pay an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao from March 30 to April 2.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei made the announcement at a regular press briefing on Thursday.
