Egypt's main opposition bloc, the National Salvation Front, called on Sunday night for a nationwide demonstration over the alleged violations spotted during the first round of the constitutional referendum.

The opposition bloc said in a statement the National Salvation Front, led by liberal and leftist politicians, including former diplomat Mohamed El-Baradei and ex-Arab League chief Amr Moussa, called all Egyptians to protest in Tahrir Square and other squares on Tuesday.

Hailing millions of Egyptians who lined up outside polling stations on Saturday to cast their votes, the National Salvation Front said they will ask the Higher Elections Commission to answer inquiries about violations that happened during the first phase of the constitutional referendum, official news agency MENA reported.

Meanwhile, unofficial results of the first stage of Egypt's constitution referendum show that 56.5 percent of voters said "yes " for the constitution.

Egyptians on Saturday morning went to polling booths in 10 governorates to vote in the first stage of the referendum on a draft constitution.

The final official result is to be announced after the second round due on Dec. 22.
