The MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) has completed its first flight from Palmdale, California on May 22, 2013.
The Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) under development for the United States Navy as a surveillance aircraft.
During the 80-minute flight in restricted airspace, the MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft reached 20,000 feet altitude.
The system is expected to enter service around 2015.
