Brussels' world famous Manneken Pis statue got sprayed with yellow paint on Sept. 1. Local government has condemned what it called a "shameful behavior." Police are looking for the suspect. Manneken Pis can be literally translated to "Little Man Pee" and also known as "Petit Julien" in French. It is a landmark small bronze sculpture, depicting a naked little boy urinating into a fountain's basin. The cute statue has been in the corner of Rue de l'Etuve and Rue des Grands Carmes in Brussels, capital of Belgium, since 1618. [Photo/Xinhua] |
