A Thai court on Wednesday approved an arrest warrant for the eighth suspect in two recent bomb attacks in Bangkok, local media reported.

The warrant was issued by the Min Buri Provincial Court for the Turkish husband of Wanna Suansan, the only female suspect in the explosion at Erawan Shrine in downtown Bangkok on Aug. 17 a separate one at the Sathorn pier on the following day, according to Bangkok Post.

The new suspect, Emrah Davutoglu, is wanted for possessing unauthorized explosive materials. He is believed to have provided accommodation for the group that perpetrated the bombings, national police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri was quoted as saying.

In a related development, police spokesman Prawut Thawornsiri said earlier in the day that the fingerprints of a foreign suspect apprehended in the Thai-Cambodian border area on Tuesday matched those collected from a bottle containing bomb-making materials, which was earlier found at an apartment room in Bangkok's Nong Chok district.
