The Pakistani army has lost a total of 140 personnel working on various peace keeping missions of the United Nations (UN) across the world, officials said on Tuesday.

Tasnim Aslam, Additional Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs, gave the figures while addressing a press conference here to announce the celebration programs in connection with the 70th founding anniversary of the UN.

It was announced that the UN branch in Pakistan is planning a festival "United Nations 70: partnering of people's development" to raise awareness about the work of its 19 agencies, funds and programs in the country.

The UN will organize the events in close collaboration with the ministry of external affairs, ministry of information and several embassies working in the country.
