Brother of suspected metro blast planner nabbed in Moscow

Akram Azimov, elder brother of the suspected organizer of St. Petersburg metro explosion Abror Azimov, has been detained,
Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Wednesday.
The latest suspect involved in the terror attack, born in 1988, was held in custody in Moskovsky District near Moscow on Wednesday, the FSB said in a statement.
"It has been established that Akram Azimov assisted in transferring funds used in the preparation of the terrorist act, as well as arranging communication channels with emissaries of international terrorist organizations," the statement read.
At present, Akram Azimov has been brought to the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for questioning, according to the FSB.
Earlier on Monday, Akram Azimov's 27-year-old brother Abror Azimov was detained in the Odintsovo District of the Moscow Region and was authorized to be arrested by Moscow's Basmanny district court on the following day.
An explosion hit the St. Petersburg subway on April 3, killing 14 people and injuring over 50 others. The IC has launched a criminal case over the terrorist act.
IC spokesman Svetlana Petrenko confirmed Wednesday that so far there are 10 names on the list of suspected accomplices.
Earlier this month, six people in St. Petersburg and two others in Moscow were detained for suspected involvement in the attack earlier this month.
