Brazilian President Michel Temer was admitted on Friday to a hospital in Sao Paulo to undergo a catheterization for coronary obstruction.

The president arrived at the Sirio Libanes Hospital in the early evening. According to the hospital, he will undergo a catheterization procedure to reverse a partial obstruction in the coronary. He may have to recieve a coronary stent.

The problem in Temer's coronary was first discovered in early October.

In addition to the catheterization, Temer will also have a urology appointment. In late October, the president underwent a procedure in the prostate due to an obstruction at the urethra, and is to have a review appointment.

Aged 77, Temer assumed presidency in August 2016 when his predecessor Dilma Rousseff was impeached. Before that, he had served one and a half term as vice president.
