Several injured in Canada plane crash

Several people were injured after a plane carrying 22 passengers and three crew members crashed near Fond-du-Lac airport in Saskatchewan, Canada, shortly after take-off at around 6:15 p.m. local time on Wednesday, according to Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The RCMP said none of the victims suffered critical injuries. Paul Dederich, a spokesperson for RCMP, said multiple rescue teams had been deployed to the scene.

The Saskatoon-based West Wind Aviation's plane is an ATR-42, which was found within one kilometer from the airstrip, according to the RCMP.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
