A man suspected of supplying weapons to the terrorists responsible for shocking coordinated attacks in Paris in 2015 has been indicted in Belgium in late December, an official said on Wednesday.
The man, identified previously in news reports by Belgian newspapers "La Libre" and "La DerniereHeure" as Mohamed E., was suspected of supplying Kalashnikovs to the terrorists that were used in the attacks that killed some 130 people on the night of Nov. 13, 2015 in Paris.
Eric Van Duyse, a spokesman for the Federal Prosecutor's Office, confirmed the arrest of the suspect on Wednesday.
The suspect will now face criminal charges for his involvement in the attacks.
Some of the main suspects involved in the Paris 2015 terror attacks have been put on trial and imprisoned in France and Belgium.
