Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday held talks with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chyngyz Aidarbekov in Beijing, pledging to expand reciprocal cooperation.

Wang said China and Kyrgyzstan enjoy sound mutual trust and political foundation, and no outside interference can affect the development of bilateral ties.

He said China will work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, promote the synergy of their development strategies, facilitate economic and trade cooperation and steadily push forward capacity cooperation, so as to lift bilateral relations to a new level.

Wang expressed hope that they will continue to explore mutually beneficial cooperation by jointly building the Belt and Road.
