Jordan on Wednesday condemned an attack that targeted Turkish diplomats at the Turkish consulate in Iraq's Erbil, leaving a diplomat and an Iraqi civilian killed.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah voiced his condolences to the Turkish and Iraqi governments over the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

A Turkish consulate employee and an Iraqi civilian were killed on Wednesday in an attack by gunmen at a restaurant in the city of Erbil, the capital of the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan, a Kurdish security said.
