Spain registers 141 new COVID-19 cases, one death

Spain's Ministry of Health on Sunday confirmed one new death of COVID-19, bringing the country's total death toll to 28,323.

With 141 new infections detected by PCR tests in the 24 hours until midnight on Saturday, the country's total infections had reached 246,272.

Among the new infections, 55 were in the region of Madrid, 33 in the region of Aragon and 25 from Catalonia.

Sunday was the first day of the "New Normality" in Spain with Spaniards once again allowed to travel freely around the country and the frontier open to arrivals from the European Union countries and the Schengen area.
