Seventeen people were injured early Tuesday in a South Korean 15-vehicle pileup, caused by foggy weather, Yonhap news agency reported citing police.
A 25-ton truck was rear-ended by another 25-ton truck at about 5:52 a.m. local time on a section of the Seohaean Expressway in Dangjin, about 120 km south of the capital Seoul.
The crash involved nine other vehicles that followed behind the trucks but failed to slow for foggy weather. Another four vehicles collided with each other far behind the trucks.
The pileup caused 17 injuries, but no death was reported. Severe traffic jam lasted for over three hours because of the accident.
