Unidentified drone flies over Libyan brigade's camp in Benghazi
BENGHAZI, Libya, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- A source with a Libyan brigade in Benghazi reveled that an unmanned drone flew over its camp during the early hours of Thursday.
The source with the Raffala Shehati brigade added "the drone was driven away by anti-aircraft weapons but was not shot down."
He added that "the commanders of this brigade have contacted the National Army operation chamber to inquire and was told that this drone has no relation with the Libyan air force."
The source pointed out that the drone flew above Benghazi, Libya's second largest city, for five hours.
Raffala Shehati is one of the strongest Islamist groups in eastern Libya. Consisting of young Islamists, the brigade is named after a Libyan who was killed in Benghazi while defending the city from former leader Muammar Gaddafi's forces in March 2011. Enditem
