BRATISLAVA, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Slovakia is to hold a large-scale exercise in October to test the preparedness of local authorities and rescue service for a fictitious explosion at the nuclear plant in Jaslovske Bohunice in western Slovakia, local media reported.
The exercise, organized by the Slovak nuclear supervision office, will be held under the guidance of Slovak Interior Ministry on October 17-18.
Police, soldiers, firefighters and health personnel as well as local self-rule authorities in eight towns and villages and central authorities will take part in the exercise.
A similar exercise was held in the country 15 years ago. Enditem
