Rogge closes "happy and glorious" Olympics

LONDON, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Olympic chief Jacques Rogge hailed the London Olympics as "happy and glorious" games as he closed the 30th Summer Games.

"You have shown the world the best of British hospitality," the IOC president said in his speech.

Rogge described the Beijing games as "truly exceptional" and the 2004 Athens Games "unforgettable, dream games". Enditem
