Cyprus hopes to win at least one gold medal in London Paralympics

NICOSIA, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Cyprus hopes to win at least one gold medal in the upcoming London Paralympics starting from Aug. 29 to Sept 9.

Cyprus Paralympic Committee Vice President Savvas said on Monday three athletes will go to London Paralympics to compete in the events of swimming, athletics and shooting.

Among them swimmer Karolina won a gold medal and Antonis won two silver medals in 200 meters and 400 meters running in Beijing Paralympics.

Savvas said except Karolina, Antonis is also hopeful to win a gold medal in London. Enditem
