Iranian protesters condemn anti-Islam movie
TEHRAN, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of Iranians protested on Thursday against a movie which reportedly insults Muslim's Prophet Mohammad.
The protesters, carrying placards against the film and shouting anti-U.S. and anti-Israel slogans, gathered in front of the Swiss embassy in Tehran which represents the U.S. interests in Iran.
The production of the film in the United States has ignited violent protests in Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Iran.
On Wednesday, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, said that the Islamic republic "strongly" condemns the film which insults the Islamic ideals, semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
Mehmanparast called the movie "loathsome," adding that the United States is "responsible" for what he called the insults as " directed against the Islamic beliefs." Enditem
