Jordan condemns anti-Islam movie as heinous
AMMAN, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Thursday voiced condemnation over a movie that insults Muslim's Prophet Mohammed.
"This film reflects hatred and seeks to sow seeds of sedition and is in violation of moral values," Jordan's Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Abdul Salam Abbadi said in a statement of which a copy was obtained by Xinhua.
"We condemn this heinous crime ... This is part of attempts to undermine any chances for dialogue and recognition of others," he said.
"This leads to confrontations between civilizations and fuels violence," said the minister.
Also on Thursday, Jordan's Lower House voiced its anger over the film which was made in the United States by some anti-Islam people.
The controversial movie has already ignited massive protests in many Arab nations over the days such as Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen and Iran. Enditem
