Bomb alarm prompts security measures in SE Turkey
ANKARA, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Turkey on Thursday increased security measures around a village in southeastern Diyarbakir province after finding explosives placed at a bridge nearby, private Dogan news agency reported.
The bomb was placed below the route that leads to Diyarbakir Airport near Carikli village, which is used by both civilian and military airplanes.
All scheduled flights were immediately postponed, and the Turkish security forces have been working to defuse the bomb, said the report, adding that roads to the area were also temporarily closed. Enditem
