No survivors in vintage plane crash in Australia's Queensland: AMSA

BRISBANE, Australia, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The wreckage of a vintage plane has been located in south east Queensland with no survivors, all six people on board were killed, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said on Wednesday.

A rescue helicopter sighted the red biplane north of Borumba Dam before 2 p.m. (local time) on Wednesday, AMSA said.

"The search team has confirmed there are no survivors," AMSA said in a statement.

Queensland Police are on the scene, carrying out further investigations.

The plane with six people on board went missing on its way to Caboolture north of Brisbane on Monday, shortly after the pilot reported he was in trouble in cloudy conditions. Enditem
