Egypt's Presidency denied Tuesday the news about resignation of the Vice-President Mahmoud Mekky, official news agency MENA reported.

"News about Mekkey's resignation is wrong, and he is performing his usual work from his office in the presidency headquarter now," the presidency said in a statement.

The news spread amid the demonstrations in Tahrir Square that was rejecting the new constitutional declaration issued by President Mohamed Morsi Thursday.

The demonstrations are arranged by the civil and liberal forces, including the April 6 movement, Revolutionary Youth Coalition, Free Egyptians Party, Wafd Party, and Kefaya movement, along with other liberal and leftist groups. Endi
