Singapore's non-oil domestic exports fell 2.5 percent year-on-year, trade promotion agency International Enterprise Singapore said on Monday.

The contraction in non-oil domestic exports, a key gauge of the performance of the trade hub in exports was in contrast to the 7.9 percent expansion in October and largely due to a weaker electronic sector, it said.

On a year-on-year basis, the domestic electronic exports contracted by 16.5 percent in November, after a 0.8 percent decline in October.

The contraction in electronic sector outweighed the 6.3 percent expansion in the non-electronic sector led by pharmaceuticals, structures of ships and boats and non-monetary gold.

The non-oil domestic exports to China grew by 9.4 percent, while those to Thailand and EU expanded by 14.3 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively. The non-oil domestic exports to other markets all fell.

On a month-on-month basis, Singapore's non-oil domestic exports decreased by 0.3 percent in November, following the 1.2 percent contraction in October. Endi
