Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir said here Monday that his country will cement cooperation with China in the oil sector and explore cooperation in agriculture, mining and new energy.

Sudan attaches great importance to developing friendly cooperation with China and appreciates China's help in its socio-economic development, al-Bashir told a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Al-Bashir, also president of Sudan's ruling National Congress Party (NCP), met Li Jinjun, vice minister of the CPC Central Committee's International Department.

Al-Bashir expressed the belief that the CPC would lead the Chinese people to greater achievements, adding that the NCP would learn from the CPC's experience in governance.

Li said the CPC and the Chinese government attach great importance to relations between the CPC and the NCP and between the two countries.

The CPC will as always remain committed to maintaining and cementing friendly cooperation with the NCP so as to push forward bilateral ties, he said. Endi
