Guna and Agni, Nepal's two domestic airlines, are on the verge of collapse, as they are cash- strapped, mismanaged and burdened with credits, reports said Thursday.

Among them, Guna has put up itself on sale, while Agni has been exploring ways to revive again. Guna Air has 2.7 million U.S. dollar loan and has declared it would sell itself off for 6.47 million U.S. dollar.

"Talks are going on with the prospective buyers," said Rajendra Shakya, Executive Chief, Guna Airlines. "If we don't get the price we want, we may sell the aircrafts only."

Owing to huge loss and mismanagement, another airline, Agni Air, once tried to sell itself off but failed in its bid. "Now we are considering ways on how to revive the airline," said Sudhir Basnet, Executive Chief, Agni Air.

Agni requires just a sum of 350,000 and a daily cash flow of 20, 000 U.S. dollars to take off again, said Basnet.

Agni was established in 2006, while Guna in 2009. Endi
