Israeli police has arrested six suspects who are believed to have been involved in series of attacks against African migrants and Arab teenagers.

Eilat police on Saturday arrested four men, including one soldier and a teenager, who allegedly carried out attacks and robberies on African migrants in the southern city over the past two months.

The police arrested the suspects following a complaint from the victims that filed on Saturday evening, The Jerusalem Post cited inspector Lior Ben-Shimon at Eilat sub-district unit as saying on Sunday.

Ben Simon noted that all four suspects are Eilat locals without criminal records, and they are set to have a remand hearing in the municipal magistrate court later on Sunday.

In a separate incident, Jerusalem police arrested two ultra- orthodox youths in the city on Saturday evening, over charges of attacking Arab youths over the past few weeks and hurling stones at Arab residents' cars in the central Bar Lev road.

The police are also investigating whether the two suspects were involved in an attack on a 15-year-old Arab boy, which left him with moderate wounds, police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld told Xinhua.

The two 16-year-olds were remanded on Sunday in the Jerusalem magistrate court.

In August, dozens of Israeli youths attacked three Arab teens, injuring one with moderate to serious wounds. Later that month, the police indicted eight minors and one adult with assault, racial incitement and instigating violence. Endi
