He added that for initial phase, the association planned to send four boxers that would be conducted in the near future. Later on the association would send more boxers to Cuba in April this year.

He said initial departure of the four boxers was waiting for clearance from Indonesian embassy in Havana and Cuban national sports committee.

"We are still waiting further information from our Cuban counterparts, particularly on the training places and the coach available to train our boxers. They will send us resumes of the coaches and we will choose the coaches," he added.

He said that the idea to send boxers to undergo training programs in Cuba was based on the fact that Cuba has been well-regarded in world's boxing sports for its well reputation in the sports. It has top-notch boxers who contending in international boxing events, resulted from well training programs in high quality boxing camps.

Besides, he said, training cost in Cuba is less expensive if compared to sending the boxers to undertake training programs in Europe, for an example. Endi
