An earthquake measuring 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale affected the southern Spanish provinces of Jaen and Granada at 0:27 a.m. (2307 GMT on Wednesday) on Thursday morning.
The quake took place 21 km below the ground and affected various small towns in the region. The Spanish Geographic Institute initially announced the quake measured 5.2 magnitude before lowering the estimate to 3.5.
No injuries were reported and material damage has been limited.
Thursday's quake is the latest in a series of tremors which have shaken the province of Jaen in the past month. Endi
