The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2013 will be held under the theme of "Resilient Dynamism" to come up with solutions for a number of risks globally, the WEF announced Wednesday.

"In an inter-dependent world, we are facing a number of risks... We have to be resilient," said Lee Howell, WEF managing director, at a press conference, saying that leaders should be "bolder" to dynamically address the risks.

The organizer highlighted three areas of discussion: "how to bring dynamism back to global economy," "what's happening geographically" and "what's next to change our lives in a positive way."

About 2,500 leaders from over 100 countries and 1,400 organizations, representing business, government, civil society, academia and culture, are expected to join the discussions at the annual meeting scheduled for Jan. 23-27 in the Swiss Alpine city of Davos.

According to the WEF, more than 45 heads of state or government will attend the meeting, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and British Prime Minister David Cameron.

China will send a delegation to attend the meeting. The list of participants include Yi Gang, vice governor of the People's Bank of China, Zhang Xiaoqiang, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Jin Liqun, chairman of the Board of Supervisors of China Investment Corporation (CIC).
