The United States' pilot, Kurt Caselli (KTM) Wednesday won the Dakar Rally' s 11th stage in motorcycle category, that went from La Rioja to Fiambala in northern Argentina.

Caselli finished with a time of 2 hours, 55 minutes and one second in the 190-km special stage, which was cut 30 kilometers due to bad weather in Fiambala, located in Catamarca province.

The US pilot was followed by Portuguese Paulo Goncalves (Husqvarna) at 4 minutes and 45 seconds, and the overall leader French Cyril Despres (KTM) at 6 minutes and 24 seconds.

Casseli, who replaced the three-time champion, Spanish Marc Coma, won his second stage victory in his first Dakar. < Despres has an accumulated time of 33 hours, 48 minutes and 29 seconds, ahead from his team partners.

Spanish Joan Barreda (Husqvarna) fell from his motorcycle 50 kilometers before the final line and he injured his shoulder, so it' s not sure he will participate on Thursday.

The 12th stage will be held Thursday from Argentina' s city of Fiambala and will end in Copiapo, Chile. Endi
