The ruling party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) plans to hold its fourth meeting of low-ranking party leaders on Monday, the country's official news agency reported Friday.

According to a report released Friday by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the meeting will be convened to consolidate the party by strengthening its basic organizations.

Similar meetings were previously held in 1991, 1994 and 2007 and the irregularity suggests that such meetings would be held only when deemed necessary. Endi
