CSR, Australia's building products company on Monday announced a restructure of its glass operations, shedding around 150 jobs.

The company says its loss-making glass subsidiary Veridian will close its float and laminating glass facility at Ingleburn in New South Wales in July.

The company's two glass processing plants will be consolidated into one by January 2014.

CSR says it will try to find other jobs within the company for those staff affected at Viridian. "CSR is implementing a major restructure of its Viridian glass operations to reflect the reality of the market, improve the short- term performance of the business and position Viridian to compete successfully in the future," CSR Managing Director Rob Sindel said in a statement.

CSR has also lowered its profit guidance for the 12 months ended March 2013 to be in the range of 30 million AU dollars (30. 65 million U.S. dollars) to 34 million AU dollars (34.75 million U. S. dollars). Endi
