Saudi Arabia on Tuesday accused Iran of having connection with a terror cell dismantled last week.

Initial investigations showed that the cell had direct links to the Iranian intelligence agencies, an interior ministry spokesman said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia announced last week the arrest of 18 people over the suspicion of spying for another country, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The suspects had received money in exchange for information and documents on vital installations in the interest of those agencies, said the spokesperson.

Investigations are still continuing and legal procedures will be taken against them. Endi
