No Indonesian victims in Boston bomb blasts: official

A senior official at Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry said on Tuesday there has been no report so far that Indonesian nationals fell victim to the bombing in the northeastern U.S.city of Boston on Monday.

"Indonesian general consulate in New York continues to monitor development of the bombing in Boston and condition of Indonesian staying in that city. So far we had yet to receive report (on Indonesian victim)," Michael Tene, spokesperson at the ministry said.

Three people were killed in two bomb blasts that occurred during Boston Marathon on Monday. Reports said the bomb blasts injured 144 people who suffered from shrapnel wounds. Reports said the bombs were filled with pieces of metals.

Responding to the bombing in a televised speech, U.S. President Barrack Obama said that his administration would undertake investigations into the bombing to find out the perpetrators. Endi
