Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Saturday removed deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Sultan from his post and appointed a new one, who is also from royal family, official Saudi Press Agency reported.

The king issued a royal order, naming Prince Fahad bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulrahman as the new deputy minister, the report said, without disclosing the reason behind the reshuffle.

Prince Fahad served as commander of Saudi Royal Naval Force before he retired in 2002. Endi
