Seoul shares opened lower on Tuesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 4. 09 points, or 0.21 percent, to 1,922.22 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

The South Korean currency was quoted at 1,118.0 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m., up 1.0 won from Monday's close. Endi
