Turkey seizes massive weapons on Libya-flagged ship

A Libyan captain and a Turkish on a Libya-flagged ship were arrested by the Turkish police on suspicion of loading weapons for Libya, local media reported Thursday.

The ship arrived at Tuzla port of Istanbul province on April 4, notifying that it would receive maintenance with empty cargo.

The Turkish security forces searched the ship and seized 5,000 pistol bullets, 90 units of shotguns, 199 pieces of 7.65 mm pistols, 210 pieces of 9 mm pistols, 260 units of long barreled weapon ball cartridges, two gas masks and 251,000 shot gun shells. Endi
