Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday condemned the recent bombing attacks in the Turkish town of al-Rayhaneya which killed 45 and wounded more than 100 people.
The Palestinian state-run Wafa news agency said that Abbas described the bombing attacks in Turkey as "awful" when he spoke on the phone with his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul.
The statement said that Abbas expressed to Gul his sorrow for the victims and conveyed the condolences and grieves of the Palestinian people.
Two cars bombings, targeting a market in the town of al- Rayhaneya in southern Turkey, near the Turkish-Syrian borders, killed 45 people and wounded more than 100 others on Saturday.
Turkey severed its diplomatic ties with Syria last year due to the growing violence and unrest in Syria which began in 2011. Endi
