Saudi Arabia will invest 160 million U.S. dollars to build a medical industrial complex, Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper reported Sunday.
The plan aims to develop the country's capabilities to manufacture medicine and medical products, increase revenues and reduce expenditures in the health sector, according to the report.
The new complex is expected to reduce the import of medicine, the director of Industrial Empowerment Program told the newspaper, adding that Saudi Arabia currently imports 80 percent of medicine from abroad. Endi
