Kyrgyzstan has low energy and labor costs that are attractive to investors, Economy Minister Temir Sariev said Wednesday.

Previously, investors were mostly interested in gold mining. However, agrarian sector and processing industry have become more profitable, Sariev said at an international agro-industrial exhibition here.

The government also offers preferential tax treatment to boost farm trade and industrial and agricultural processing, the minister said.

More than 90 percent of farm products were ecologically clean in Kyrgyzstan as Kyrgyz farmers do not use chemical substances when growing fruit and vegetables and that the country's farm products are exported in raw condition, he said. Endi
