Singapore president to visit Brunei

Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam is scheduled to visit Brunei from Tuesday to Thursday, the city-state's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday.

The ministry said it will be Tan's first state visit to Brunei after he became president in 2011.

He will call on Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and senior members of the Bruneian Royal Family and Cabinet.

Besides, the president will also visit the Muara Naval Base and a youth center there.

In addition, Tan is also scheduled to visit Singapore Armed Forces personnel and families based in Brunei, the ministry said in a statement. Endi
